Everything you need to know about C1Putts, Circle of Confidence, and how to improve your putting game.

Your Circle of Confidence is defined by two key metrics: CC90 and CC50.

CC90 is the distance where you make 90% of your putts - your "gimme zone" where you should never miss.

CC50 is the distance where you make exactly 50% of your putts - your "flip zone" where it's a coin toss. This is where strategic decisions matter most on the course.

For example, if your CC90 is 12 feet and CC50 is 22 feet, you know to run everything inside 12ft, consider risk/reward between 12-22ft, and often lay up beyond 22ft with OB behind.

Our AI distance tracking is accurate to within plus or minus 6 inches in most conditions. The system uses advanced computer vision to detect your position relative to the basket and calculate distances automatically.

For best results:

  • Position your camera at a stable angle with a clear view of both you and the basket
  • Practice in good lighting conditions (outdoor daylight is ideal)
  • Ensure the basket is visible in frame throughout your session

The AI processes hundreds of frames per session, so even with occasional detection errors, your overall CC calculation remains highly accurate.

MRTZ (pronounced "Moretz") is the universal currency across the Disc Golf Intelligence Suite, including C1Putts, LogDog, and Hyzerlyzer. Think of it as experience points that have value across all our apps.

How you earn MRTZ in C1Putts:

  • Daily practice sessions: 10-50 MRTZ based on volume
  • Maintaining practice streaks: 5 MRTZ per day in a streak
  • CC improvements: 100 MRTZ for each foot of improvement
  • Completing achievements and milestones

How you spend MRTZ:

  • Flip zone bets in LogDog
  • Premium coaching analysis in Hyzerlyzer
  • Unlock advanced analytics features
  • Compete in MRTZ tournaments

MRTZ is a one-way value system: it can be purchased through official channels, but cannot be sold, cashed out, or exchanged for real-world value. Money flows in, nothing flows out.

Flip Zone is a feature in LogDog where you can wager MRTZ on whether you'll make a challenging putt. C1Putts enhances this by providing your actual putting data to inform these decisions.

When you're in a flip zone situation on the course, LogDog now knows:

  • Your exact CC90 and CC50 distances
  • Your make percentage at the current distance
  • Whether you've been practicing consistently (streaks)
  • Your recent form and improvement trends

This means flip zone MRTZ wagers are calibrated to your actual ability level, making every dare fair and exciting. If you're outside your CC50, the MRTZ reward is higher. If you're inside it, the wager costs more but you're more likely to make it.

No special equipment needed! All you need is:

  • Your smartphone - Any modern smartphone with a camera works
  • A tripod or stable surface - To keep your phone steady during recording
  • A practice basket - Any disc golf basket will work
  • Your putters - Use your normal putting putters

That's it! The C1Putts app handles all the measurement and tracking through AI video analysis.

Most users see measurable CC improvement within 2-3 weeks of consistent practice. The key is focusing your practice at your current CC50 distance - not too easy, not impossible.

Typical improvement timeline:

  • Week 1: Establish your baseline CC90 and CC50
  • Weeks 2-3: First noticeable improvements (1-3 feet)
  • Month 2: Significant gains (5-8 feet on average)
  • 3+ months: Continued steady growth with consistent practice

Remember: The goal isn't to practice from 10 feet where you make 95% or from 40 feet where you make 5%. Practice at your CC50 where you're 50/50 - that's where the most learning happens.

C1Putts is designed for disc golfers of all skill levels. The beauty of the CC metric is that it's personalized to your current ability.

For beginners:

  • Establish a baseline and build good practice habits early
  • See rapid improvement in your first months
  • Learn what distances you can actually make consistently

For advanced players:

  • Push your CC50 from 25ft to 30ft+ through targeted practice
  • Track subtle improvements that matter in competition
  • Use data to inform course strategy and flip zone decisions

Whether your CC50 is 10 feet or 30 feet, the app helps you improve from where you are right now.

Your privacy matters to us. Here's how we handle your practice videos:

  • Local processing first: Videos are analyzed on your device when possible
  • Temporary cloud processing: For advanced AI features, videos are sent to secure servers and deleted immediately after analysis
  • No permanent storage: We never permanently store your videos unless you explicitly choose to save them
  • Data extracted: Only the statistics (distances, make/miss, timestamps) are saved, not the videos themselves

You can always delete your practice history from the app at any time.
